Order of the October Revolution, Variation 2, #61515, with a document, awarded on 6 September 1973 to Yelena Grubnik.

Order of the October Revolution, Variation 2, #61515, with a document, awarded on 6 September 1973 to Yelena Grubnik. The order is in silver gilt, 10 K gold (hammer and sickle emblem), and enamels; measures 43.9 mm in height (incl. eyelet), 43.3 mm in width; weighs 29.9 not including the suspension and connecting link. Variation 2 featuring 5 rivets.

The order is very fine to excellent condition. There is a single shallow flake to the upper arm under the eyelet; it does not penetrate to silver and is not easily noticeable without a loupe. The enamel is practically perfect otherwise having only a few microscopic contact marks, free of significant scratches or rubbing. There are a few tiny dings to silver parts, but the details of the center medallion are crisp and nearly pristine. Beautiful patina to silver sunburst obscures the fire gilt finish which nevertheless is still clearly visible. Nice even toning to silver on the reverse. Comes on original suspension device, a two-layer model in aluminum. The old, probably original ribbon shows modest wear but is generally well preserved and clean (nonetheless, we will be happy to replace it with a brand new ribbon at buyer's request).

The order booklet was issued on 19 September 1973, less than two weeks after the award decree. The Order of the October Revolution is the only award listed in the document. The booklet is in excellent condition, perfectly clean and crisp. The gold impression on the cover is nicely preserved having only minor wear.

Overall, an attractive documented award to a female recipient.
