Awarded to a Shturmovik pilot, a Hero of the Soviet Union and an air ace with 9 aerial victories, for highly successful attacks upon German targets through the first half of 1943 and in the Battle of Kursk He was credited with 87 enemy aircraft destroyed on the ground, the highest score for any allied pilot in WW2! Comes with massive amount of archival research, English translation and McDaniel authentication. Fine condition, rated 7 out of 10.

Note the EXTREMEL LOW SERIAL NUMBER unusual for Variation 3, possibly an official wartime Duplicate issued in exchange for the lost early piece. Replaced enamel on the upper arm, fine overall, with original and complete suspension device.
